Vineet joined ING Investment Management India in July 2007 and has successfully driven the growth of the business with an increase in its market share, positioning IIM as a leader in global products, knowledge and innovation. As the CEO for both Optimix and IIM India, Vineet is responsible for directing the development and growth of the investments franchise in India, leveraging the strengths of the organisation to form a more robust and integrated business platform while maximizing the opportunities from distinct single manager and multi-manager product lines.

He brings with him over 20 years of rich experience, including over 19 years at Citibank N.A., across Singapore and India. His career at Citibank included various key positions in general management, sales & marketing, product management and finance, focusing on the bank’s wealth management businesses in the Asia Pacific region. In a former role, as Regional Director of Citibank’s Consumer Investments Business, he led the impressive growth of Citibank’s wealth management franchise establishing it as a regional market leader.  

A mechanical engineer by training, Vineet holds an MBA from the Indian Institute of Management, Calcutta. He is also a holder of the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) designation from the CFA Institute, USA, and a member of the Singapore Society of Financial Analysts.
