
Sachin Pilot

Mr. Sachin Pilot, son of the Late Shri Rajesh Pilot is a dynamic and inspirational young leader. He has recently been selected as one of the Young Global Leaders 2008 by the World Economic Forum, Davos in recognition of his professional accomplishments and commitment to society.
He completed his B.A. (Hons.) degree from St. Stephens College, Delhi University and an MBA from the Wharton Business School, University of Pennsylvania, U.S.A. Mr. Pilot has worked with BBC at the Delhi Bureau and General Motors Corporation.
In May 2004, Mr. Pilot was elected to the 14th Lok Sabha (Lower House) from the Dausa Parliamentary constituency of Rajasthan. At 26 years of age, he became the youngest Member of Parliament in the country. Mr. Pilot is a Member of the Parliament’s Standing Committee on Home Affairs. He is a Member of the Consultative Committee in the Ministry of Civil Aviation, and also a Member of the Budget Estimates Committee of Parliament.
He has been travelling extensively in India, especially in the remote and interior areas of the country to spread the message of communal harmony and social justice. He is focused on the empowerment of the farming community and youth. He aims to inculcate a sense of social and political responsibility among the youth in rural and semi-urban areas of the country.
Mr. Pilot has been fond of flying and received his Private Pilots License (PPL) from NY, USA in 1995. He is also a keen sportsman and has represented Delhi State in a number of national shooting championships. He is eager to highlight his views on how India may best improve its business environment to encourage young future leaders and entrepreneurs to achieve success.
